Biographical Information

I was born in Ma's-Belly, Ark (aka - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania). I don't remember much, cause I was pretty little then. My heritage Is quite interesting. My dad's side of the family went through Rothenburg o.d.T, Germany, up through Latvia and Estonia and back to Germany after WW1. My mom's heritage is Czech and Austrian. Now I married a Filipino. Very colorful heritage, hey!

About ME!

I  was born in Pittsburgh, PA. Then in 1970 moved to Chicago, IL. In 1973 we moved to beautiful St. Louis MO. I grew up in the Clayton school district. I played soccer, wrestled, water polo and swam. I was big in cars and at one time owned 6 rust bucks that I called my own. I was a pretty poor student prior to my 2nd year of high school. Then a math teacher sat me down and looked at me and said "your not as dumb as you want me to think you are". From then on I excelled in school.

After being in a car accident in 1986, at the age of 19, I ended up being paralyzed from the neck down. I am a C4-5 quadriplegic. Since I could only use one arm, I then used a heavy electric wheelchair to get around. I went to collage at the University of Missouri and obtained my BS dregree in mechanical engineer 1992. School was tuff but of the 400 of us who started, only 42 graduated with degrees in mechanical engineering.

In 1998 after unsuccessful attempts of finding a meaning full relationship, I took a stab at the internet to find my soul-mate. But, she found me. We started writing and in October 1999 I flew to the Philippines to meet my future wife and her family. We were engaged on Nov 5, 1999 and got married on Aug 5, 2000

Today, I keep in trouble as a contractor as a software quality engineer and "under water" fire fighter. I really, just keep in trouble. Just ask my wife.

Current Projects

Hearing Aids for the PI  In time I hope to help the deaf of the Philippines. Especially my cousin John John. My husband will be building a web site and we will both be looking for donations. Along with Rick Manuel, we hope to provide as much help to the hearing impaired as possible. Everything from school supplies to hearing aids are needed. A little donation can go a long way. Hopefully mid-December - January a web site will be ready.

Please consider donating

Here we hope to have a family, buy a house, build a house, or rehab our present home. Stay healthy, enjoy life and have fun. Hopefully do a trip or two a year and perhaps go back to the PI in 2003. We will see.

My Dream for my future?  ... our future? To have a family.

Help the deaf people of the Philippines. Perhaps in time we can get enough help to supply many schools with donations. My wife's cousin is deaf, and being he is in the PI, makes life very hard to survive. Being deaf makes life a whole lot harder. We have already helped some with hearing aids and other things. But our hope is to help even more in the future.
