Part 2 of 1 | Good News!

Arriving @ the St. Louis Airport
I met my husband through a friend and an officemate of mine
who was very fond of the new technology of finding pen pal on the web.
It is what you call now email pal. My
friend gave me the profile of my husband. She
said a friend of her through internet send the profile to her and my friends
asked me if I would be interested to write this guy.

Me at work.
Showing of the gifts Mike sent.
I was hesitated at first
when I saw that he’s on the wheelchair but as I read his profile, I was kind
of having an interest to write him. I
didn’t write him right away but I kept the print out of the profile.
There were quite a few guys who wrote me in the internet since my friend
published my name at the Rose Lifetime Partners and the more traditional
American Singles pen pal web site.
I never wrote to any one of them.
I was not interested in them at all.
So, one day in January I decided to write my husband a few words about
myself and my interest to be one of his friends. And to see what might happen.

@ the lobby of the Marriott
Mike arrived in the
Philippines to visit me on October 29, 1999.
Ohhhh !!!!
Boy the following day I received three pages letter/email from him.
Hmmm…. He was really interested ;-) So we wrote with each other.
But in the middle of May of 1999 I sent a goodbye letter to him. He was so serious and I wasn’t so sure of myself yet.
He had a few other pen pals that he wrote with.
In June of same year, my friend’s friend, who gave the profile of Mike,
came home and visit the Philippines.

Mike proposed during dinner
We got engaged on November 2nd.
at Mr. A's Restaurant in the hills
looking over Cebu.
So,
I decided to go with my friend to visit her.
I really wanted to know more about Michael even though I stop writing
him.
We finally met and I
asked her if Michael is a nice guy and she said that they talked over the phone
few times and he seems to be nice and fun.
So, that changed my attitude towards Michael.
So, I finally decided to write him back, but I didn’t write him right
away. I waited, because I had a feeling that he’s mad at me.

Everyone cried (happily)
The next day, November 3rd ,
Mike asked my parents for my hand in marriage.
Finally, I wrote back last August 19, 1999.
I wrote just a brief note, if he still interested in my friendship (On
that time I still had his printed letter from previous months.
I kept it in my drawer at the office).
On the following day, I opened my email ad and I found his two pages
letter. So, he was still
interested. And that’s the
beginning. We wrote each other
everyday, he called me every weekend.

On May 10, 2000, I arrived in St. Louis.
On August 5, 2000 we were married…
